GAP.12: Awards

Frege-Award Winner

Hannes Leitgeb (LMU Munich) will receive the Frege-Award in 2025. The prize will be awarded at the GAP.12 congress. Hannes Leitgeb is being recognised for his outstanding and internationally influential work in the fields of epistemology, logic, and philosophy of science.

The laudation will be delivered by Volker Halbach (University of Oxford). A colloquium in honor of the laureate will follow, featuring Hannes Leitgeb, Volker Halbach, Maria Lasonen-Aarnio (University of Helsinki), and Richard Pettigrew (University of Bristol).

Wolfgang Stegmüller Award

At GAP.12, the Wolfgang Stegmüller Prize, valued in total at €12,000, will be awarded for outstanding contributions to analytic philosophy. Presented every three years at the GAP conference, this prize typically honours three exceptional works. The award was endowed by Margret Stegmüller.

De Gruyter Prize

At GAP.12, the De Gruyter Prize will be awarded for outstanding contributions to the fields of analytic philosophy of mind, ontology, and metaphysics. Endowed by De Gruyter publishers, this prize is presented every three years at the GAP conference.

Best Paper Awards

Three outstanding papers will be selected by the section chairs from all submissions and recognized with Best Paper Awards at the opening event of GAP.12. Each award comes with a €500 prize.
